About The Founder Profile Of Uche Nworah Ph.D, President and Founder of Charlton Business School Dr. Uche Nworah has a diverse career that spans the public sector, academia, banking, management consulting, telecommunications, and media in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria. He attended the prestigious College of Immaculate Conception (C.I.C) in Enugu, Nigeria, where he obtained his GCE O'Level certificate. Dr. Nworah earned a degree in Communication Arts from the University of Uyo, graduating with Second Class Honours Upper Division. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, a Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Research from the University of Greenwich, London, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mass Communications from the National Open University of Nigeria. Dr. Nworah completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Marketing at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), previously known as Anambra State University, Igbariam Campus. Dr. Nworah was a Senior Lecturer in Marketing Communications and Business Strategy at London Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. He was later invited to return to Nigeria, where he served as Chief Learning Officer and Group Head of Human Capital Development at Oceanic Bank International PLC. For five years, he was the National Manager of Out-of-Home Advertising at Globacom, Nigeria's second-largest telecommunications company. In 2014, following a nationwide competitive search, the Anambra State government appointed Dr. Nworah as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS). In July 2022, Dr. Nworah re-joined Globacom as Head of Special Projects in Marketing Communications but left in May 2023 to become Managing Partner at Umunna Media Limited, a consultancy focused on media, public relations, communications, and training. In July 2023, he was appointed Chairman of the Editorial Board and Ombudsman of Daily Times Nigeria, the country's premier newspaper, founded in 1926. In December 2023, he took on the role of Special Adviser (Special Duties) to the Permanent Representative of Nigeria at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Director General/Chief Executive Officer (DG/CEO) of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). He served till May 2025 before leaving to take up position as Founder/President, Charlton Business School. Dr. Nworah is a registered teacher and member of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), Fellow of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (FRPA), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom (FCIM), and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (MNIPR).
